Breaking Cover

A new series by Red Deer Players

An Interactive Concept

Breaking Cover

We are excited to announce the creation of “Breaking Cover” — a unique theatre experience to be presented at the Snell Auditorium in partnership with “Friends of the Library”

What & When is “Breaking Cover”?

A series of play readings featuring works in progress by Alberta playwrights.   Works presented will be scripts that are close to performance ready, where playwrights would benefit from a rehearsed reading with audience feedback.
Playwright, director and actors will meet in advance to discuss the work and prepare for the reading. Readings will occur on Sunday afternoons; a different play every 8 weeks

Audience members are involved in the creative process by participating in a discussion/feedback session following the reading.

A steady stream of scripts is needed to keep the series going!  Interested playwrights are encouraged to submit their scripts to Red Deer Players, at reddeerplayers@gmail.com
