Meet the Cast!

Roxzane Armstrong as Kennedy

Roxzane is thrilled to be treading the boards with Red Deer Players under the direction of Lori Lane once again! She last worked with Lori on the wonderful experience that was Calendar Girls.
A born and bred Central Albertan, Roxzane is a graduate of the (now defunct) RDC Theatre Studies Program. While she spent some time trying out a few other cities, she always came back to Red Deer where she settled, had her family and participated in many (many!) local theatre productions.
Newly experiencing an empty nest, she is now working on spreading her creative wings. She has appeared in a couple of short films (and would love to do more!), and her most recent adventure is improv, learning and playing with both BullSkit and Improv Jelly here in Red Deer. She has even braved the improv stage for a couple of BullSkit Maestro’s!
While not on a stage, you will find Roxzane on social media as a social marketer for an amazing health and wellness company, or outside on a trail (preferably with big hills or mountains), or working on convincing people to get muddy with her in an OCR event.
She feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to step into the role of Kennedy and hopes you are as profoundly touched by this show as she has been.

Carson Rafuse as Parker/Jesse

Since making his stage debut as Joseph in his fourth grade Christmas Pageant, Carson has been hooked on theatre. He's come a long way since then, working as an Actor, Director, Choreographer, Fight Director, and Lighting Technician. He has also dabbled in podcast work, voicing Officer Carlton on Nowhere, On Air.

Carson is currently entering his fourth year at the University of Lethbridge, where he is studying towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama and Bachelor of Education. In July 2022, Carson took over as Artistic Director of Red Deer Players, where he has been thankful for the opportunity to flex his creative muscles and get more involved in the community! He is honored to be able to premiere this wonderful script and can't wait for you to see the show!

Select Credits Include: The Comeback Cabaret (Red Deer Players), Macbeth (Primestock Theatre), The Little Prince, Dr. Faustus, Design for Living (University of Lethbridge), The Atomic Age, So Long., In Omnia Paratus (TheatreXtra)
