Red Deer Players presents

A dramatized reading of:

“Where Heroes Lie”

by St. Albert writer, David Haas

Young Rowan, having heard stories of her heroic great grandfather (a fallen soldier), pays tribute to him in an essay, which wins her a trip to a Canadian war cemetery in France – the very place where he is laid to rest. She invites her grandmother, Jamie, to accompany her and this is where they meet Andrew, a Canadian war veteran who is visiting the cemetery for his own special reasons. Eager to find out more about the circumstances of her father’s heroic death, Jamie quizzes Andrew – with surprising results.

Location: Royal Canadian Legion Branch #35, 2810 Bremner Ave, Red Deer
